I move back into school tonight. Which is a very very good thing. Apart from living with my friends for one more semester before we graduate and getting out of the house (I love my family I swear but its time to move out and away from this town for a while at least), I get to cut my commute to my internship down from 45 minutes (or an hour and a half as I found out when it snows) to 5.
In my first taste of commuting over the last few weeks, I've learned a bit about driving. Sorry for the potato pics, but no money=no camera.
1. People are idiots in the parking garage
This being the prime example. I have a 2dr golf (read: fairly long doors). This person is lucky I'm skinny because last time I checked even the smallest Denali branded GMC isn't compact and I had a hard time getting in my car at the end of the day.
2. I really hate impatient drivers. Specifically the type that pass on the right even when you have your blinker on and are about to move over.
3. Possible the most surprising (don't worry was stuck at the light and the other driver had only just moved up)
Are Aztec Rally's a thing? You might not be able to tell from the pic, but it looks like a jacked up aztec and had what looks like metallic stick on letters that said RALLY under the stock nameplate. Who would do that?

Well the Aztek is "Quite possibly the most versatile vehicle on the planet."

That is true. Another true statement: "The Pontiac Aztek Is Uglier than a Hippopotamus' Butthole"

iirc, they had a bit or a rake on them, so they look taller from the back. This is common for many cars from the period. The AWD ones could also have been a bit taller. Either way, though, installing some coil spacers for height is pretty easy.

This one definitely looked lifted and had tacky looking aftermarket mudflaps. I'm just more curious of why? It had the AWD badge too.

Pontiac would. Rally was an actual package for the Aztek.

I saw that when I searched it but none look quite like what I saw and are sans the auto zone "RALLY" badge

Top Gear (US) beefed up an Aztek in episode 16, season 2 ("Worst Cars"). In an effort to increase the Aztek's re-sellability , Rutledge modified it to be more off-road capable.
I think he made it look pretty darn good!

My God...do you realize what this means? *dramatically takes off glasses* Somebody tried to dress up an Aztek...to look like a different Aztek.

It's better to get a ugly car to rally. You won't mind as much when you Orlove it.
